Most appliance repairs in London, Ontario follow the same basic cost structure: a flat diagnostic fee, labor, and parts. Here's exactly what each of those looks like with us, and what actually drives your total up or down.
The Diagnostic Fee: $124 CAD
Every visit starts with a flat $124 diagnostic fee, regardless of the appliance or the issue. This covers your technician traveling to your home and accurately identifying the problem. It's non-refundable once the technician arrives, even if the appliance turns out to be unrepairable, since the diagnosis itself is the work being done. Full details are on our diagnostic fee page.
Labor: Typically $100–$200
Labor for most repairs runs $100 to $200, on top of the diagnostic fee. Where you land in that range mostly comes down to how long the repair takes, not the appliance type by itself. Swapping a straightforward part often lands at the lower end; anything requiring significant disassembly or troubleshooting takes longer and costs more.
Parts: Varies
Parts pricing depends entirely on what's actually needed. A simple part like a door seal costs far less than a control board or a compressor. We always give you an upfront, written quote for parts and labor after diagnosis, before any repair work begins, so you know the full cost before committing.
What Actually Drives the Total Up or Down
- How long the repair takes. A quick part swap costs less in labor than a repair requiring significant disassembly.
- Part cost and availability. Common parts are inexpensive and quick to source. Less common or brand-specific parts cost more and occasionally take longer to get.
- Appliance age and complexity. Newer appliances with more electronics (smart features, advanced sensors) can mean more diagnostic time, though not always a more expensive repair.
Every Repair Includes a 90-Day Warranty
Whatever you pay for parts and labor is backed by a 90-day warranty on both. If the same issue comes back within 90 days, we return and fix it at no additional charge — factor that into the real cost, since it protects you from paying twice for the same problem.
Get a Real Quote
The only way to know your exact cost is a diagnosis, since guessing at pricing without seeing the appliance would mean guessing at your bill too. Book a diagnostic visit and we'll give you a straight, written quote before doing any work.
