A repair warranty is only useful if you actually understand what it covers before you need it. Here's the real breakdown, not a vague "satisfaction guaranteed" line.
Labor: 90 Days
If the same issue we repaired comes back within 90 days, we return and fix it at no additional charge for labor. This covers our workmanship on the specific repair performed, not the appliance as a whole.
Parts: 120 Days
Parts we install are covered for 120 days, unless the manufacturer specifies a different warranty period for that particular part, in which case the manufacturer's terms apply. Parts coverage runs a bit longer than labor because a part failing shortly after installation is a different situation than a labor issue, and we want you protected either way.
What Voids the Warranty
- Moving the appliance. If the unit is relocated after the repair, the warranty no longer applies, since the move itself can introduce new issues unrelated to our work.
- Misuse. Damage from using the appliance outside its intended purpose isn't covered.
- Repair by anyone else. If another technician works on the appliance after us, our warranty on the original repair is void, since we can no longer verify what changed.
What's Not Covered, Even Within the Warranty Period
"No-fault" issues aren't covered, even if they happen shortly after a repair. The two most common examples are a clog caused by a foreign object (something that shouldn't have gone into the appliance in the first place) and damage from an external electrical surge. Neither is related to the quality of the repair itself, so neither falls under warranty.
Why This Matters When You're Getting a Quote
A warranty is part of the real value of a repair, not just fine print. When you're weighing a repair quote, factor in that a covered failure within the warranty window costs you nothing further, which changes the math compared to a repair with no warranty backing it at all.
Questions About Your Specific Repair?
If you're not sure whether something is covered, ask us directly, either before or after the repair. We'd rather explain it clearly than have you find out the hard way.
